Saturday Night Celebration at the Aud

Utica Comets News Release


The Utica Comets will be celebrating on Saturday night prior to their game against the Syracuse Crunch. The Clinton Comets will be honored pregame and the game will feature an appearance by the Utica Zoomobile as the we celebrate Utica Zoo's 100th anniversary.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early as the Zoomobile will have animals from the zoo at The AUD when doors open for the game (5:35 p.m. for season ticket holders/6:05 p.m. for general public).

The first 1,500 fans will receive a car air freshener courtesy of Honda.

Game worn Utica Comets jerseys from the Toyota Frozen Dome Classic will be auctioned off at the Comets Fan Zone during the game. The silent auction will feature Jacob Markstrom, Alexandre Grenier, Hunter Shinkaruk, Darren Archibald, Peter Andersson and Mike Zalewski.

The wives and girlfriends of the Comets players will have a table on the concourse and will be selling mystery pucks for $10. Everyone who purchases a puck is guaranteed a puck signed by a Comets player but could win other random prizes including a team-autographed jersey.

Former Clinton Comets players Bill Bannerman, Howie Dietrich and Pat Kelly will be honored during the ceremony. All three players will have their jersey numbers displayed at The AUD alongside the eight players that were honored last season.
