Saskatoon Blades News Release
Saskatoon, SK - Local Saskatoon product G Ethan Chadwick has been added to the Blades' active roster ahead of their weekend trip to Alberta.
The 15-year-old Chadwick, drafted at 47th overall in the 3rd round of the 2019 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft, returns to Saskatoon with a newly minted Gold Medal won with Team Saskatchewan at the 2019 WHL Cup on the weekend.
This season Chadwick has been playing with the Saskatoon Contacts of the Saskatchewan AAA Midget Hockey League where he currently has a 4-2-0 record, .900 SVS% and a 2.51 GAA with one shutout.
Earlier this year Chadwick started his first WHL Pre-Season matchup against the Prince Albert Raiders in Warman on September 6th. On that night he made 39 saves on 42 shots faced for a .929 SVS% and the win.
Chadwick was signed by the Blades on May 28th, 2019.
In a corresponding move fellow 15-year-old G Austin Elliott, who was signed by Saskatoon last week, has been taken off the active roster after serving as Nolan Maier's backup last weekend and is expected to return to the Notre Dame Hounds' Elite 15 side in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League.
