Santa Cruz Silences Stampede

SANTA CRUZ, California - Justin Holiday had 25 points, seven rebounds and extended his streak of two or more steals to 16 games in a row, but the Idaho Stampede lost to the Santa Cruz Warriors 102-95 in overtime.

Jason Ellis had six points and 16 rebounds, Justin Harper had 13 points and 10 rebounds and Coby Karl added 21 points and five assists for the Stampede (14-29). Idaho grabbed 24 offensive rebounds, but shot just 33.7 percent from the floor in the loss. Idaho led 76-67 entering the fourth quarter, but fell victim to an 11-0 run to begin the quarter. Harper missed a go-ahead three-point attempt with 5.3 seconds left before overtime began. Stefhon Hannah then scored six overtime points and the Warriors outscored the Stamped 13-6 in the extra period.

Hilton Armstrong had 21 points and 11 rebounds, Taylor Griffin had 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Warriors (29-13), and Hannah had 20 points, eight assists and six rebounds.
