Santa Cruz Acquires 2019 Second Round Pick and Returning Rights to Guard-Forward Beau Beech

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors have acquired a 2019 second round selection in the 2019 NBA G League Draft and the returning rights to guard-forward Beau Beech from the Erie Bayhawks, the team announced today. Santa Cruz will trade forward Terrence Jones and a 2019 fourth round pick to Erie, pending physicals.

Beech, a 6'7, 215 swingman from the University of North Florida, is currently playing for the Hamburg Towers of Germany's Pro A League, averaging 15.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals in five games (four starts). Beech owns two years of experience in the G League, tallying 6.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 56 games (14 starts) for the Bayhawks and Long Island Nets.

Jones (6'9, 252, University of Kentucky) was acquired by the Santa Cruz Warriors via waiver claim on December 18, 2017 and averaged 19.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 16 games in 2017-18 (nine starts). Jones was a member of the team's 2018 training camp roster.
