Sandoval Lifts Mets Past Yankees 7-1

Rylan Sandoval hit a grand slam and drove in five runs as the Mets cruised past the host Tampa Yankees 7-1 on Monday.
The Mets have won four straight games and earned their second consecutive win over the Yankees in the four-game series.
Sandoval had three hits and helped the Mets pull away with his first home run of the season, a grand slam in the sixth inning.
Robert Gsellman, a 13th round selection in 2011, pitched four scoreless innings in his debut with St. Lucie.
Jim Fuller tossed two innings and allowed one run to earn his first win of the season. Pedro Feliciano allowed one hit and struck out one in his third appearance in relief with St. Lucie. Chasen Bradford pitched two scoreless innings to close the game.
T.J. Rivera had two hits and two runs scored while Matt Reynolds had two hits and an RBI. Charley Thurber had an RBI single in the third inning to score Cam Maron.
The Mets visit the Yankees on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Domingo Tapia is the scheduled starter for the Mets.
