
Sancho Lyttle to Miss Six Games While Competing for Spain

ATLANTA - The Atlanta Dream announced Wednesday that forward Sancho Lyttle will miss the next six games to compete for Spain's national team at EuroBasket Women 2013, which is being held June 15-30 in France. Lyttle will be temporarily suspended for the duration of her absence.
Lyttle will miss Friday's game against Seattle at Philips Arena, as well as home games against Chicago (June 16), Indiana (June 25), Washington (June 28) and San Antonio (June 30). She will also miss a road game at Connecticut (June 23). She will return to action with the Dream July 9 at Minnesota.
EuroBasket Women 2013 is the European women's championship and a qualifying tournament for the 2014 FIBA World Championships. Lyttle, a native of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, acquired Spanish citizenship in 2010. She helped Spain to a bronze medal in the 2010 FIBA World Championship for Women and was named to the tournament's All-Star Five.
Through five games, Lyttle is averaging 15.4 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.8 steals, 2.6 assists and 1.6 blocks per game for the Dream, which is tied for first in the Eastern Conference with a 4-1 record..
