SAN JOSE, CA - Tuesday, July 10 through Friday, July 13 the San Jose Giants will host the first of two summer camp sessions at Municipal Stadium. The camp is filling up quickly and has less than 10 spots remaining. The session will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day and will focus on teaching and refining baseball skills for campers ages 8 through 14.

The first summer camp session will feature a strong instructional staff filled with coaches from West Valley Community College and Santa Clara University. Current West Valley Pitching Coach and former San Jose Giant Dave Newton is part of the staff as well.

"We are extremely excited to get our first summer camp session under way", said Taylor Wilding, San Jose Giants Camp Coordinator. "The camps will be a great way for boys and girls alike to learn from some of the best instructors in the area and improve their abilities while having fun playing baseball."

San Jose Giants Summer Camps are held on the field of historic Municipal Stadium, home to San Francisco Giants prospects for the past 25 years. During the session, players move through hitting, throwing, catching, pitching, fielding and strength and conditioning drills to improve their level of play. On the camp's final day, campers will have the opportunity to play an exhibition game on the field.
