San Jose Giants Return Home on Sunday for An Action Packed Homestand

SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Giants return home for a three-game homestand beginning Saturday, August 7 at 5:00 PM. The Giants will host the Bakersfield Blaze for a three-game set August 7-9. This homestand will be full of exciting promotions, family fun and some great baseball.

Promotions and Special Events:

KBAY's Giant Sunday: Fans can visit kbay.com to print out their KBAY Family Four Pack which includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $33. In addition, fans can check online for a special KBAY Buy One Get One Free ticket offer good for one free ticket of equal or lesser value for every regularly priced ticket purchased. Be sure to stop by the KBAY booth and enter to win great prizes

Gigante's Birthday Celebration: Sunday, August 7 is a special birthday celebration for the fan-favorite San Jose Giants mascot, Gigante. Many of Gigante's local mascot friends will be in attendance to help him celebrate with games and plenty of fun events!

Martinelli's Apple Juice Kids Run the Bases: Following the conclusion of the game on Sunday, August 7, the kids are invited down onto the field to run the bases, courtesy of Martinelli's Apple Juice.

Alliance Credit Union Kids Eat Free Sunday with your Coupon from the Mercury News: Fans can cut out the Kids Eat Free coupon from Sunday's Mercury News and redeem it at the San Jose Giants Box Office. For every youth ticket purchased fans will receive a free hot dog and soda. The coupon must be presented at the time of purchase. The offer allows for only one ticket per coupon.

Comcast Hometown Network Televising Live: Watch two games during this homestand live, Sunday, August 7 at 5:00 PM and Monday, August 8 at 7:00 PM, on Comcast Hometown Network Digital Channel 104 throughout most Northern California regions. After the initial live broadcast, the game will also be available for cable customers to view anytime through Comcast On Demand Channel 1.

Pepsi Night: The San Jose Giants would like to welcome Pepsi employees from their Sunnyvale, Hayward and Salinas locations to Municipal Stadium for Pepsi Night.

Merchant Night: Monday, August 8 will be a Merchant Night, so be on the lookout at local businesses and stores for complimentary tickets to the game.

OSH Merchant Night: The Merchant Night festivities continue Tuesday, August 9 with Orchard Supply Hardware Merchant Nights. Fans can pick up free admission tickets at participating OSH stores one week prior to selected dates. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis, while quantities last. General Admission tickets are NOT assigned seating. They are on a first come first serve basis in the stadium grandstand and bleachers.

Throughout the season, single game tickets will be available at the Box Office and over the phone at (408) 297-1435 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Tickets are also available online at sjgiants.com. Comcast Coverage: The San Jose Giants and Comcast have once again joined forces to bring fans an expanded schedule of 25 LIVE television broadcasts during the 2011 season. The games can be viewed live on Comcast Hometown Network Digital Channel 104 throughout most Northern California regions. Tune in and catch Joe Ritzo call all the action on Sunday, August 7 and Monday, August 8 as the Giants take on the Bakersfield Blaze.

The LIVE games will be replayed several times on Comcast Hometown Network (Channel 104), and will also be available any time of the day or night via Comcast's popular ON DEMAND platform, which is free to Comcast digital customers. To view California League baseball games ON DEMAND, Comcast Digital Cable customers can tune to Channel 1 on their Digital Cable lineup or press the ON DEMAND button on their remote control, then click on the "Get Local" section, then click on "Comcast Hometown" then select "Cal League Baseball."
