San Jose Giants Homestand Preview: July 4 - 9

San Jose Giants News Release


San Jose, CA- The San Jose Giants return to Excite Ballpark for a six -game homestand from Thursday, July 4 through Tuesday, July 9. The Giants do battle with two North Division foes the Visalia Rawhide (Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate) and Modesto Nuts (Seattle Mariners affiliate). The homestand opens with a bang on Independence Day at Excite Ballpark which features the biggest and best fireworks show in the South Bay. Tickets are still available but will sell out soon, so fans are encouraged to secure their seats today.

More homestand highlights include: Independence Day Celebration, Strikeout Cancer Night (The Motte Foundation & KRTY), Friday Night Fireworks, San Jose Churros Night, a San Jose Churros Cart replica giveaway, Greek Heritage Night, Pups in the Park and Kids Run the Bases (Martinelli's).

Thursday, July 4 (6:45 PM: Main Gates 5:15 PM STH Gates: 5:00 PM)

Independence Day Celebration: There's no better way to celebrate America than with baseball, barbecue and fireworks! Come out to the ballpark on The Fourth for the ultimate Americana experience! Gates will open early, 5:00 for Season Ticket Holders and 5:15 General Public, so be sure to get to Excite Ballpark to enjoy all the festivities.

Fourth of July Fireworks: Enjoy the biggest and best July 4th fireworks show in San Jose following the game.

Special Event Ticket: Ticket includes 90 minutes of access to an all-you-can-eat buffet including ribs, hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans, soda and water, as well as access to two shaded deck spaces, bar and patio games. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options included with 90 minute service at no additional charge. Patriotic Sunglasses Giveaway: The first 500 fans receive oversized patriotic-themed sunglasses.

Stars and Stripes Jersey Auction: The San Jose Giants will wear special Stars and Stripes jerseys which fans can bid on throughout the game. Winning bidders receive the jerseys after the game directly from the players.

Strikeout Cancer Night: The San Jose Giants have partnered up with KRTY, American Cancer Society, Pig Jig Silicon Valley and the Jason Motte Foundation to bring you Strike Out Cancer Night. There will be a jersey auction, and fans can purchase Strike Out Cancer Capes with all proceeds benefiting the Jason Motte Foundation.
