San Jose Giants Homestand Preview: July 20th - 25th

San Jose Giants News Release


SAN JOSE, CA- The San Jose Giants return home Tuesday, July 20th at 7:00 PM to kick off a six-game homestand. The Stockton Ports will return to San Jose for the first time since April to begin a three-game series on Tuesday. On Friday, it's a rematch of the 2009 California League Championship series as the High Desert Mavericks return to Municipal Stadium for the first of a three-game series. There are several exciting promotions and events scheduled for the coming week.

Promotions and Special Events:

State Farm Night: The fourth State Farm Night of the season is Tuesday, July 20th. Fans can visit local State Farm agencies to receive complimentary tickets to San Jose Giants games on designated State Farm Nights. Below is a list of the State Farm Nights this season:

KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Tickets: Tuesday, July 20th, bring a KRAFT Singles package wrapper to the Municipal Stadium Box Office for a steal of a deal. Buy one ticket and get one free from KRAFT Singles! Only the wrapper is required.

OSH Merchant Night: The Merchant Night festivities continue Wednesday, July 21st with the return of Orchard Supply Hardware Merchant Night. Fans can pick up free admission tickets at participating OSH stores one week prior to selected dates. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis, while quantities last. KFOX Family Friday: Friday is also another KFOX Family Friday. Disability Awareness Night: On Friday, July 23rd, the MFP Special Care Planning Team is proud to Sponsor EP Magazines Disability Awareness Night. The night will honor people who are part of our community for their extraordinary inspiration and contributions to improving the lives of people with disabilities.

Mix 106.5 Saturday in the Park: On Saturday, July 24th, the San Jose Giants and Mix 106.5 will team up to present fans with Mix 106.5 Saturday in the Park. Fans can download their Mix Family Four Packs online at www.kezr.com and www.sjgiants.com and present them at the San Jose Giants Box Office to receive four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $33.

Martinelli's Kids Run the Bases: Following the conclusion of every Saturday and Sunday San Jose Giants game, kids are invited down onto the field to run the bases, courtesy of Martinelli's Apple Juice.

Jewish Heritage Night: Sunday, July 25th is Jewish Heritage Night at Municipal Stadium. The evening will be filled with Jewish-themed contests between innings and will even include special kosher meal packs.

94.5 KBAY's Giant Sunday: New in 2010 is the 94.5 KBAY's Giant Sunday. Fans can download their Family Four Pack or Buy One Get One Free ticket coupons online at www.kbay.com and present them at the San Jose Giants Box Office. Be sure to stop by the KBAY booth and enter to win great prizes.

Alliance Credit Union Kids Eat Free: Every Sunday home game is Alliance Credit Union Kids Eat Free Sunday. Fans can cut out the Kids Eat Free coupon from the Mercury News and redeem it at the San Jose Giants Box Office. For every youth ticket purchased fans will receive a free hot dog and soda. Fans must present the coupon at the time of purchase. The offer allows for only one ticket per coupon.

General Admission tickets are NOT assigned seating. They are on a first come first serve basis in the stadium grandstand and bleachers.

Throughout the season, single game tickets will be available at the Box Office and over the phone at (408) 297-1435 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Tickets are also available online at www.sjgiants.com.

On the Airwaves:

Comcast Coverage: The San Jose Giants and Comcast have joined forces to bring fans an expanded schedule of 24 LIVE television broadcasts during the 2010 season. The games can be viewed live on Comcast Hometown Network Digital Channel 104 throughout most Northern California regions. Friday, July 23rd, Comcast will televise the High Desert/San Jose game with Joe Ritzo calling the action.

The LIVE games will be replayed several times on Comcast Hometown Network (Channel 104), and will also be available any time of the day or night via Comcast's popular ON DEMAND platform, which is free to Comcast digital customers. To view California League baseball games ON DEMAND, Comcast Digital Cable customers can tune to Channel 1 on their Digital Cable lineup or press the ON DEMAND button on their remote control, then click on the "Get Local" section, then click on "Local Sports."

Streaming Live: Every Giants game can be heard live on the San Jose Giants official website at www.sjgiants.com. Joe Ritzo will be behind the microphone for his seventh season as the voice of the Giants and fans can also find team information such as updated rosters, statistics, game notes, and news by visiting the website.
