San Diego Wildcats Home Opener Wednesday

San Diego, CA. The ABA San Diego Wildcats will host the Orange County Gladiators in their first home game of the 2007-2008 season on Wednesday, Nov 14 at the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center. The Wildcats encourage all Southern California to attend their home games throughout the ABA season as professional basketball bounces back into the city of San Diego for its second season.

The Wildcats are the city's only professional basketball team and are working hard toward becoming an intricate participant in the city of San Diego's professional sports market. The team has promoted sportsmanship and teamwork in a family fun atmosphere and have enhanced the professional basketball spectator experience by expanding the during of time in which the Wildcat players interact with their fans.

The team returns with four fan favorite players that includes guards Cardell "Ballaholic" Butler, last year's ABA league leading scorer, and Mike McNair. They also return with forwards Jamal Kendrick and Greg Clark and have added former San Diego State University standout, forward/center Jerome Habel to their roster.

The organization is eager to begin the season as the management and coaching staff are confident that this year's team could be definite contenders for a championship.
