Orlando Aces are back
November 13, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Las Vegas Aces News Release
Orlando, FL. 2006-2007 marked the beginning of the first minor league basketball team in Central Florida. "It was our goal to continue the high standards of professionalism offered by the ABA and bring quality, affordable basketball to the backyard of the NBA Orlando Magic," stated team owner Todd Triplett. "We asserted every effort to establish a competitive organization capable of exceptional performance - on and off the court." Not only did the Aces contribute to local entertainment endeavors, they embraced the community by additionally offering educational and economic development opportunities.
Thanks to a busy and prosperous pre-season, the Orlando Aces have become a well-recognized entity to Orlando households, schools and businesses. The charity events and mentoring programs definitely show the generous and compassionate side of the Aces. These traits, coupled with a passion to perform and exceed expectations, set the Orlando Aces apart.
Under the leadership of Todd Triplett, Renet Mells and Heather Fernando, the aces are destined to be successful and leave a lasting legacy in Central Florida. "I look forward to bringing more exciting basketball to the city of Orlando, giving these young men an opportunity to play on a professional level and serve as an inspiration to others that when you pray, believe and work hard, you will be rewarded," added Triplett. "As the owner of the Aces, it is my personal goal to facilitate the growth and development of those players with the potential to make it to the NBA or Europe. I simply want to share my knowledge and experience to help my players make their hoop dreams come true."
See what the hype is all about. Join the Orlando Aces in their home season opener against the Macon Gwizzlies. The event will take place on Sun, Nov 25 at 415pm.
