San Diego Sockers Match Notes vs. Tacoma

San Diego Sockers News Release
The Sockers and Stars begin a home-and-home series on Friday at Ron Newman Field at Pechanga Arena San Diego before heading to the Pacific Northwest on Sunday to play the return match. Friday's game will mark the much-anticipated MASL debut of U.S. Soccer icon Landon Donovan.
Tacoma gave San Diego its only loss of the season on December 22. The 5-4 defeat at home featured a 20-save performance by GK Danny Waltman and a late GWG by Adam West (2-0=2). San Diego won the last meeting 9-4 on January 18 in Tacoma.
The second-place Stars trail San Diego by five games in the loss column, which means it is crucial for Tacoma to win both games to remain in the hunt for a division title.
For San Diego, who is expecting its largest crowd (7,000+) in the MASL-era, has Kraig Chiles listed as questionable with a leg injury.
