San Diego Strike Force News Release
The San Diego Strike Force have signed defensive lineman Luke Ancrum to their 2024 Indoor Football League roster.
Ancrum (6-6, 270, Florida) joins the Strike Force for his second season as a member of the IFL. In 2022, he saw action in eight games with the Tucson Sugar Skulls and recorded 9.5 total tackles, five tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and an interception.
"Luke is an explosive player who can rush the passer while also causing problems in the run game," said head coach Genuser. "We're looking forward to seeing him compete in training camp."
Prior to joining the IFL, Ancrum played his collegiate career at the University of Florida and appeared in 41 games from 2016-2019. He recorded 37 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one interception, and two pass breakups for the Gators.
Luke is originally from Sebring, Florida where he attended Sebring High School. He played in the FACA North-South All-Star Game and registered 32 total tackles (23 solo) during his high school career.
The Strike Force will open the 2024 season on the road against the Duke Gladiators before hosting the San Antonio Gunslingers for their home opener at Pechanga Arena on Monday, April 1st.
