San Antonio FC Signs Ignacio Bailone for 2022 Season

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC has signed forward Ignacio Bailone for the 2022 season pending league and federation approval, the club announced today. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"We are pleased to welcome back Ignacio to the team. He provides an additional attacking presence with a cultured left foot," said Head Coach Alen Marcina. "Ignacio is fully committed to the Team Identity standards which allow for accelerated integration with his new teammates. We are excited to see his connection and contribution to the team."

A native of Argentina, Bailone appeared in all 17 matches for SAFC in the 2020 season. In 657 minutes played, Bailone scored three goals and tallied three assists as the club went 10-3-3.

Last season, Bailone appeared in 10 matches for HNK Å ibenik of the Croatian First Football League.

Bailone and SAFC host Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday, May 21 in a clash of the top two clubs in the USL Championship Western Conference. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT from Toyota Field, and tickets are available at SanAntonioFC.com or the San Antonio FC app. The match will be broadcast locally on Bally Sports Southwest Extra, as well as nationally on ESPN+.
