San Antonio FC Midfielder Lance Laing Named to USL Team of the Week

SAN ANTONIO, TX - San Antonio FC midfielder Lance Laing was named to the USL Team of the Week, the league announced today. The midfielder scored a goal and recorded an assist in the club's 3-1 win at RGV FC last Wednesday.

Laing played 85 minutes in his first start and second appearance for SAFC since joining the club on Aug. 23. The Jamaican midfielder recorded his first assist for the Alamo City club to set up Connor Presley's equalizer in the 49th minute before scoring a goal of his own in the 62nd minute to take the lead.

In addition, Laing recorded three chances created on the night as well as three shots and one on target. Laing's inclusion in the USL Team of the Week marks the first for SAFC since defender Darnell King received the honors on Aug. 7 following his performance in Week 21 and 11th overall for the club this season.
