TAMPA - With a rare three-assist night last Tuesday against Richmond Kickers, Nashville SC captain and midfielder Michael Reed was named to the United Soccer League (USL) Team of the Week on Tuesday by the league office. The honor is the first of the season for the 30-year-old as he becomes the seventh Nashville SC player named to a USL Team of the Week in the club's inaugural season.

On Tuesday night, as Nashville SC set franchise records for goals in a match and margin of victory with a 4-0 win, Reed was the orchestrator, turning three set pieces into assists with pinpoint deliveries into the box. Two found the head of forward Tucker Hume for goals while another was headed in by defender Bradley Bourgeois in the rout.

In addition to his three-assist game against Richmond, Reed contributed 11 key passes across both of Nashville's games last week. He started and played a full 90 minutes against Richmond and came on as a sub in the 53' minute in Nashville's 1-0 loss to Charlotte Independence on Saturday.

Reed joins Alan Winn, Liam Doyle, Bradley Bourgeois, Brandon Allen, Matt Pickens and Moloto as Nashville SC players to have been previously named to the USL Team of the Week.

Nashville SC will be back in action on Saturday in Cary, N.C. to take on North Carolina FC at 4 p.m. CST. The game will air on MyTV30 in Nashville and digitally ESPN+ across the country.
