San Antonio FC Lands Three on USL Championship Team of the Week

September 27, 2022 - United Soccer League Championship (USL) - San Antonio FC News Release

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC goalkeeper Jordan Farr, forward Samuel Adeniran and midfielder PC have been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week, the league announced today.

Farr kept two clean sheets last week, making five total saves against Colorado Springs and Sacramento to bring his season total to a club-record 14. The 14 shutouts are tied for the second-most in a season in league history, just one shy of the record.

Adeniran scored his 10th goal of the season on Saturday, securing the 1-0 win over Sacramento that clinched the top seed in the Western Conference for San Antonio. The score extended Adeniran's team-leading total, which has come in just 18 matches.

PC earned a spot on the Team of the Week bench after scoring his second goal of the season against Colorado Springs, as well as an assist on Adeniran's goal on Saturday. The goal was the deciding strike in the 1-0 midweek win.

San Antonio FC starts a stretch of back-to-back road matches this weekend, traveling to take on Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. Kickoff from Highmark Stadium is set for 6:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, and will also broadcast on ESPN+.
