Lights FC Gets Huge Win to Keep Playoffs Push Alive

Lights FC and Monterey Bay FC faced off in a match between teams that are fighting to get into a playoffs position in the final weeks of the USL Championship regular season.
Las Vegas opened the score in the 41st minute by capitalizing on a mistake from the visiting side's defense, with Cal Jennings stealing the ball and setting up Danny Trejo for his team-leading 12th goal of the year to open the score.
A free kick in the final minute of the first half from Danny Crisostomo found a perfectly placed Dekel Keinan, who with a powerful header put the ball in the back of the net to extend the home team's lead to 2-0.
Las Vegas followed up a two goal first half with a two goal second half, as Cal Jennings obtained his tenth goal of the year, becoming the first player to get double digit goals in multiple seasons for Lights FC. Danny Trejo closed the tally for the home team by getting his brace for the 4-0 victory for Vegas.
With the win, Lights FC tied a franchise record 11 victories in a USL Championship regular season and with With this defeat, Lights FC is now 5 points away from the final USL Championship postseason spot in the Western Conference.
