San Antonio FC News Release
SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC defender Connor Maloney has been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week, after assisting twice in Saturday's win over Monterey Bay F.C.
Maloney assisted on both goals in SAFC's 2-1 road win, including the winning strike in the 85th minute. Defensively, the Penn State product recorded six tackles, three interceptions and a clearance in the match.
Maloney's two assists bring his SAFC career total to 10, tied with PC for the fourth-most in club history and just three short of the club record.
The recognition makes for four-straight weeks with an SAFC player on the league's Team of the Week, with Maloney joining Jordan Farr, Lamar Batista, Mitchell Taintor, Mohammed Abu and PC on the list of recipients.
San Antonio is back in action tonight, hosting Club de Lyon FC in a Lamar Hunt US Open Cup match. Kickoff from Toyota Field is set for 7:30 p.m. CT, with tickets still available at SanAntonioFC.com or the SAFC app. The match will be streamed on San Antonio FC's YouTube as well.
