San Antonio FC Adds Ayodeji Adeniran to 25-Day Contract

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC has signed Ayodeji Adeniran to a 25-day contract, pending league and federation approval. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"We are pleased to welcome Ayo to the Team on a 25-day contract," said SAFC head coach Alen Marcina. "He is an intelligent and versatile player capable of playing in multiple positions and will add depth to our backline."
Adeniran joins SAFC after spending last season with Kicker Emden in Germany's fourth division, Regionalliga Nord. With Emden, Adeniran appeared in 21 matches - all starts. In1,875 minutes played, the Houston native scored twice and assisted three times.
Prior to turning pro, Adeniran played collegiately with Alabama A&M before transferring to UAB. In his junior season with the Blazers, Adeniran appeared in every match. As a sophomore, the Houston native scored twice and tallied five assists.
Adeniran joins his brother Samuel in San Antonio, the first time the two have been on a professional team together.
SAFC heads to Michigan this weekend for a Saturday match against Detroit City FC. Kickoff on Saturday is set for 6:30 p.m. CT, and will be streamed on ESPN+.
