Tampa Bay Rowdies News Release

ST. PETERSBURG, FL - The USL Championship revealed the Team of the Week for Week 10 of the season on Tuesday afternoon, with the Tampa Bay Rowdies JJ Williams and Dayonn Harris both making the cut for their standout performances in the club's 5-1 win over Detroit City FC.

Rowdies midfielder Charlie Dennis also earned a spot on the Team of the Week after recording his third goal in as many matches.

This is the second straight Team of the Week selection for Williams, who became just the third player in the Rowdies modern era to record a hat trick and added an assist for good measure on Saturday. Williams helped the Rowdies start hot and maintain the momentum throughout the first half with tallies in the 3rd minute, 13th minute, and 43rd minute. For the second consecutive week, Williams converted a cross from loanee Ryan Spauling to put the Rowdies up only 122 seconds into the match. He then calmly redirected a cross from captain Aaron Guillen into the net before closing the half with a tap in off his thigh to complete the hat trick.

Harris sealed Saturday's match with Tampa Bay's fifth goal in the 53rd minute, his first of the season and sixth overall for the club since signing in 2021. Receiving a pass from Williams, Harris slipped inside the box and launched a low strike across the box that nestled into the bottom left corner. The Canadian winger also assisted on Charlie Dennis' goal while completing 18 0f 21 passes on the night.

Next up, the Rowdies travel to face Rio Grande Valley FC this Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET. Fans can join the official Rowdies watch party at Localz Sports Bar & Grill in downtown St. Petersburg, right across the street from Al Lang Stadium.
