Owen Sound Attack News Release
Rookie defenseman Sam Sedley has been named by the Attack coaching staff as the Huron Tractor Attacker of the Week.
Sedley scored his first career goal on Friday night in Sault Ste. Marie and added an assist in Sunday afternoon's win over the North Bay Battalion. In four games last week, Sedley was a +2 in an increased role. Attack assistant coach Jordan Hill was impressed: "Sam has stepped up big time for us. For a 16-year-old to come in and play these minutes, in all situations, it's been huge." He adds: "He got a ton of ice time this week, but he earned every minute of it. We were happy he was able to score his first goal but we're even happier we can rely on him defensively as well."
The St. Marys native has played in eighteen games this season, scoring once and adding three assists with a +2 rating.
