PCL Salt Lake Bees

Salt Lake Shut Out by Oklahoma City

August 6, 2022 - Pacific Coast League (PCL)
Salt Lake Bees News Release

The Salt Lake Bees (49-54) fell to the Oklahoma City Dodgers (62-41) 13-0 on Friday night at Smith's Ballpark.

Not much went the way of the home team as the first five Oklahoma City batters of the game reached safely leading to a four-run first inning, including a home run from Dodger Jason Martin. In the third inning Martin and James Outman went back-to-back home runs in a three-run third inning. The Dodgers would add to their total with runs in every inning after the fourth as all five Salt Lake pitchers allowed at least one run during the game.

After a strong first two outings at the Triple-A level, Cristopher Molina was tagged with the loss in his home debut allowing seven runs in three innings of work. Dillon Thomas and Chad Wallach each collected a pair of hits to lead the Salt Lake offense, but the bats finished 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position, leaving 12 men stranded.
