Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers look to win their fourth game of their current road series tonight when they meet the Salt Lake Bees at 7:35 p.m. CT at Smith's Ballpark. The Dodgers have won 10 of their 13 games following the All-Star Break and four of their last five games.

Last Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers set the tone early with four runs in the first inning and kept adding on while the pitching staff continually kept the Salt Lake Bees off the board during a 13-0 win Friday night at Smith's Ballpark. The Dodgers scored in seven of nine innings and finished with 14 hits, including seven extra-base hits and three home runs. OKC scored four runs before an out was recorded in the first inning with a RBI double by Michael Busch and a three-run homer by Jason Martin. Martin went deep again in his next at-bat in the third inning and hit back-to-back homers with James Outman. The Dodgers scored in each of the final five innings, totaling six runs, including a pair of RBI singles by Ryan Noda. Seven different Oklahoma City pitchers combined to throw the team's fifth shutout of the season. The Bees managed seven hits and drew eight walks, but the Dodgers pitching staff held Salt Lake 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position and stranded 12 runners on base.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Michael Grove (0-2) is scheduled to make his eighth start of the season with OKC...Grove most recently pitched July 29 against Sugar Land in OKC, following opener Justin Bruihl. He entered the game with two outs in the second inning and allowed one run and two hits, along with one walk and three strikeouts over 4.0 innings. Grove retired the final 10 batters he faced and did not factor into the decision of OKC's 3-2 win in extra innings...Tonight will be Grove's fourth appearance after spending about two weeks on the Injured List in July. Since his return, he's allowed three runs and seven hits over 10.0 innings, with 11 strikeouts against two walks, and opponents have gone 7-for-35...Grove began the season with five starts with Double-A Tulsa and made the jump for a spot start with Los Angeles May 15 against Philadelphia to become the first Los Angeles Dodger to make his Major League debut straight from Double-A since relief pitcher Danny Coulombe in September 2014...He's been recalled three times by Los Angeles and has made two appearances. He was most recently optioned to OKC June 14...He was selected by the Dodgers in the second round of the 2018 MLB Draft from West Virginia University...Tonight will be his first career meeting with Salt Lake.

Against the Bees: 2022: 5-2 2021: 7-5 All-time: 64-57 At SL: 31-30 The Dodgers and Bees are meeting for the second of three series in 2022 and their first at Smith's Ballpark...The teams met at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark for a three-game set June 10-12, with OKC taking the final two games to win the series. Twice in the series, the Dodgers rallied to tie the game or take the lead in the eighth inning or later...The Dodgers won last season's series, 7-5, including wins in five of the last six meetings. The road team went 9-3 during the season series and the Bees won four of six in Oklahoma City for their first series win against OKC since 2013...In 2021, the Dodgers outscored Salt Lake, 77-62, and outhit the Bees, 119-110...The Dodgers have won or split the last seven season series with the Bees, posting a 6-0-1 record during that time...Since OKC became affiliated with the Dodgers, the team owns a 25-12 advantage against the Bees in the Triple-A version of the Freeway Series, but are 9-7 at home compared to 16-5 in Salt Lake...Going back to last season, the Dodgers have won 10 of the last 13 games against the Bees overall and eight of the last 10 games at Smith's Ballpark.

Life At The Top: The Dodgers lead the PCL with a 62-41 record and have a 4.0-game lead ahead of second-place El Paso. The Dodgers have matched their season-high mark of 21 games above .500 (also 61-40), reaching that level for the first time since closing out the 2016 season with an 81-60 record. The Dodgers last were 22 or more games above .500 when they wrapped up the 2015 season at 86-58...The Dodgers have the league's second-best record both at home (34-20) and on the road (28-21). El Paso leads with a 31-18 home record and Reno has the top road record at 31-18....After a season-high five-game losing streak July 1-5, the Dodgers have gone 15-8 since and have won four of the last five games. Their 15 wins since July 6 are second-most in the league behind Reno's 17 wins.

J-Mart Special: Jason Martin went 4-for-5 with two home runs, a double, four RBI and four runs scored last night. Martin homered in each of his first two at-bats, hitting a three-run blast in the first inning and a solo shot in the third inning. Yesterday was his second game this season with four hits, including three for extra bases, as he went 4-for-4 with two homers and a double July 1 at El Paso. He also tied his season high with four runs scored (May 12 at Round Rock)...Friday marked his fourth multi-homer game of the season, as he set a new career high with 24 home runs, which ranks second in the Pacific Coast League. Martin also ranks second in the league with a career-high 80 RBI and a .977 OPS, while his 77 runs scored are tied for third, his .595 SLG, 194 total bases and 47 extra-base hits are fourth, his five triples are fifth and his 50 walks are tied for sixth. He also ranks tied for eighth in the league with 94 hits and ninth with a .382 OBP...Martin's 14 home runs since June 25 (32 games) are most in the Minors, while his 33 RBI during the same span are tied for fifth-most in the Minors...Last night's outburst occurred after he was held hitless in consecutive games for the first time since June 4.

Drew Dat: Drew Avans reached base four times Friday night with two hits and two walks, as he went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored. Avans extended his on-base streak to 42 games, giving him the longest on-base streak by an Oklahoma City player during the team's affiliation with the Los Angeles Dodgers (2015-present). It's also the longest active on-base streak in the Minors. Avans has now reached base in 56 of his last 57 games and hit safely in 25 of the last 29 games...Avans owns one of five on-base streaks of at least 42 games recorded this season in the Minors. The last PCL player with an on-base streak longer than 39 games was Nashville's Nick Martini, who reached base in 66 straight games during the 2018 season (April 14-Sept. 1). The last OKC player with an on-base streak longer than 42 games was Joe Sclafani, who reached base in 45 straight games July 4-Sept. 1, 2014...Avans has also hit safely in 19 of the last 22 games, batting .319 (30x94)...From the start of the season through May 31 (31 games), Avans batted .235 (20x85) with seven extra-base hits, eight RBI and 15 runs scored. Since June 1 (51 games), Avans is batting .315 (63x200) with 13 doubles, four triples, three homers, 21 RBI, 24 walks and 43 runs scored. During that span he ranks third in the PCL with 63 hits, tied for fourth with 15 stolen bases and fifth with 43 runs, four triples and AVG.

Beast Node: Ryan Noda went 3-for-6 with two RBI last night and now has 15 RBI over his last 10 games. Noda has driven in six runs over the last two games while going 5-for-9 with a homer and a double. He has 17 multi-RBI games this year, including five in the last 10 games...Noda has hit four home runs in his last 10 games and has hit five home runs in 13 games following the All-Star Break. Noda's 62 RBI this season are tied for eighth in the league, while his 54 walks are tied for third.

Zero Hour: Seven pitchers combined to throw the Dodgers' fifth shutout of the season yesterday. It's the second time this season the Dodgers pitched a shutout and won by at least 13 runs, joining a 19-0 victory at Round Rock May 12. Through the first 23 seasons of the team's Bricktown era, the team recorded two shutouts while winning by at least 13 runs before it happened twice this season. Prior to this year, the two instances were a 14-0 win April 25, 1998 vs. Nashville and a 13-0 win Aug. 7, 2001 at Edmonton...The Bees had 15 runners reach base with seven hits and eight walks, but the OKC pitching staff did not allow an extra-base hit and held Salt Lake 1-for-9 with six strikeouts with runners in scoring position. The staff totaled 13 strikeouts and induced three ground ball double plays...Friday was OKC's first shutout win since a 7-0 victory June 18 in Reno and all five of OKC's shutout wins this season have come on the road. The combined score of the five shutouts is 48-0.

Dinger Details: Jason Martin and James Outman hit back-to-back homers to start the third inning for the team's eighth back-to-back home runs of the season, with Martin involved in four of the instances. The Dodgers have homered in 12 of the last 13 games and of the 22 home runs during that span, 12 have been hit with at least one runner on base, including seven of the last 11. They also have eight multi-homer outings during the last 13 games...The Dodgers have hit a home run in the first inning in each of the last three games...On the other hand, last night was the third time in the last four games the Dodgers did not allow a home run. However, OKC has allowed two or more homers in seven of the last 13 games and 10 of the 17 homers have been with runners on.

Buschwacked: Michael Busch connected on a RBI double in the first inning Friday and has now hit safely in eight of his last nine games (11x38) and over his last 13 games is batting .333 (17x51) with eight extra-base hits. He also drew a walk and scored two runs Friday...Since Busch joined the team May 17 from Double-A Tulsa, his 69 hits pace the Dodgers as do his 33 extra-base hits and 20 doubles. His 13 home runs and 47 runs scored are second-most on the team during the span.

Showing Out: James Outman went 1-for-4 with a homer, two RBI, a walk, hit by pitch and a stolen base during his return to the team following his Major League debut. Outman played in four games with the Los Angeles Dodgers July 31-Aug. 4, going 6-for-13 with one homer, one double, six runs and three RBI. He became the first player in Dodger history to record three hits, a homer, three RBI and two runs scored in his Major League debut July 31 in Colorado...Outman has six home runs and 23 RBI in his last 17 Triple-A games.

Around the Horn: Edwin Ríos continued his rehab assignment Friday and went 1-for-4 with a walk and run scored. Through six games with OKC, Ríos is 5-for-20 with three doubles. He's hit safely in four straight games (5x17)...The Dodgers drew 10 walks Friday for their ninth game this season with double-digit walks, and they lead all Triple-A teams with 499 walks. However, the pitching staff also allowed eight walks and added to their Triple-A-leading total of 502 walks this season...Yesterday was OKC's eighth game of the season with at least seven extra-base hits and their 10th game of the season without allowing an extra-base hit...Tomás Telis is 4-for-7 with a home run and four RBI during the current series. He has now hit safely in five of his last six games, going 8-for-19.
