Sugar Land Space Cowboys News Release

(SUGAR LAND, Texas) - Korey Lee belted a three-run home run in the first inning of the Sugar Land Space Cowboys' game Friday night vs. the Round Rock Express, helping lead them to a 6-5 win at Constellation Field.

Lee's home run was his 11th of the year with the Space Cowboys and first since being optioned by the Houston Astros on August 1 following his first Major League stint. He is ranked as the Astros' No. 2 prospect by MLB.com.

Round Rock took the lead in the fourth following a two- run single from Sam Huff. Andy Ibanez opened the Express scoring with a two- run home run in the third inning. Huff followed with a solo home run in the sixth inning before the Space Cowboys jumped out ahead for good in the eighth.

The Space Cowboys loaded the bases in the eighth on a single from Lewis Brinson, walk from Alex De Goti and hit-by-pitch from Marty Costes. A throwing error from Round Rock first baseman Nick Tanielu off a ground ball from Scott Manea resulted in Brinson and De Goti coming across to score.

Brinson finished the night 4-for-4 with four singles and two runs scored.

Enoli Paredes picked up his eighth save of the year, striking out one in a scoreless ninth.

Peter Solomon - who was named the Pacific Coast League July Pitcher of the Month on Friday - struck out five batters and allowed one run through four innings of relief to pick up the winning decision.

The Space Cowboys and Express continue their six-game set at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday at Constellation Field. Brandon Bielak is scheduled to face Round Rock right-hander Cole Winn.
