Salmon Kings To Face Bakersfield In Round One Of Playoffs

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that the team will begin the 2008 Kelly Cup Playoffs at home versus the Bakersfield Condors.

The Best-of-Seven National Conference Quarter Final Series is a 2-3-2 format with Victoria having home ice advantage and hosting games one and two as well games six and seven.

This will mark the first time in Victoria's history that they will play Bakersfield in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Salmon Kings won the best-of-nine regular season series 6-3.
