Victoria Salmon Kings News Release

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that fans will have the opportunity to get a Christmas photo with Marty the Marmot during this week's three-game set versus the Stockton Thunder.

Before each game, fans can have picture taken with the ECHL's best mascot - Marty the Marmot! Japan Camera will be on site to take and print the photos, with pictures being offered by donation to the Mustard Seed.

During Friday night's contest, Island Farms Dairy will be on hand with a special prize giveaway during the second intermission that will award one fan with ice cream for a year! Fans will also have the chance to sample their brand new yogurt.

Employees of Lindt Chocolate will be in attendance at Saturday night's finale to provide a sample pack of chocolates to the first 400 fans into the building. The pack of chocolates also contains a great coupon from Swiss Chalet!

Also until December 18th, any Victoria Salmon Kings fan who brings a non-perishable item down to Select Your Tickets will receive a ballot to enter to win two tickets to Cirque Du Soleil: Alegria coming to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in September 2010! The Mustard Seed will also have volunteers on site during this week's series collecting cash and food donations in exchange for ballots for this contest.

As an extra incentive the Victoria Salmon Kings will be offering a ticket discount to those that donate a non-perishable food item! In addition to a ballot to enter the draw for Cirque tickets, fans who drop off a canned good at the Select Your Tickets box office will save $3.00 off the walk-up price of a ticket to any game this series.

The Salmon Kings welcome the Stockton Thunder to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre this week for a three-game tilt with contests tomorrow, Friday, December 18th, and Saturday, December 19th. Puck drop for all three games is 7:05 p.m. For tickets, call 250-220-7777 or visit www.selectyourtickets.com.
