Zanoski Called Up To AHL Binghamton

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that forward Tom Zanoski has been called up to the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League. For Zanoski it is his first trip to the AHL of his professional career.

The Brampton, Ontario native currently leads the Gladiators in scoring with 17 goals and 15 assists for 32 points in just 24 games this season with Gwinnett. He ranks third overall in the ECHL in scoring and his 17 goals ranks second in that category in the ECHL this season.

Zanoski was acquired by the Gladiators on January 23, 2008 from the Dayton Bombers in exchange for future considerations. He split time last year between Stockton, Dayton and Gwinnett. Zanoski finished the 2008-09 season with 9 goals and 14 assists for 25 points in 37 games.

In his first professional season with Stockton in 2007-08, Zanoski saw time in 42 games, scoring 12 goals and 8 assists.

The Gladiators continue their 7th season in the ECHL on Friday, December 18th as they travel to Kalamazoo to take on the Wings at 7:30 p.m. Catch all the play by play on WDUN, News Talk 550. The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and Columbus Blue Jackets and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
