Salmon Kings Receive Cameron from Flames

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that forward Bryan Cameron has been reassigned to the team by the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The Brampton, ON native has appeared in 52 games during his rookie season with the Heat, recording 13 points (6g-7a) to go along with 35 minutes in penalties. He was signed to a three-year NHL entry level contract by the Calgary on April 30, 2010.

The 21-year-old split his five year Ontario Hockey League (OHL) career between Barrie and Belleville. During that span he averaged over a point a game as he participated in 318 games amassing 324 points (184g+140a).

During his junior career his offensive prowess garnered him recognition as he was named to the OHL's First All-Star Team twice (2008-09 and 2009-10). Cameron was also honoured as the recipient of the OHL's 2009-10 Leo Lalonde Memorial Trophy (Overage Player of the Year) after he notched, an OHL best, 53 goals as well as 25 assists for 78 points in 63 games for Barrie.

Cameron was a third round pick (#82 overall) of the Los Angeles Kings in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
