The 10th Man Flex Plan packages of 10 Undated Tickets that can be used for any 2009 regular season home games, will remain available until Wednesday June 3. Packages are available by ordering over the phone or stopping by the Salem Red Sox Front Office. Flex Plan packages will also be available for purchase during games throughout the upcoming homestand. Pack the Park for Charity on Wednesday, June 3rd Come out to Support the Salem Relay For Life Committee
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature activity. It offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people camp out at the local high school and take turns walking or running around the track. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event to represent the 24hr cancer experience of a patient. Teams of people from all walks of life have fun while raising much-needed funds to fight cancer and raise awareness of cancer prevention and treatment. For every person that attends Wednesday Night's game (walk ups only), the Salem Red Sox will donate 50 cents per each ticket sold, so make sure you come out to the game for a great ballgame and a great cause! First Round Pick, Casey Kelly, Called Up to Salem
The Salem Red Sox have received 2008 first round pick Casey Kelly from Single-A Greenville. The 19 year-old righty pitcher and shortstop, was drafted 30th overall by the Boston Red Sox in the 2008 First-Year Player Draft.
Kelly spent the 2008 season between the Red Sox Gulf Coast League affiliate and Short-Season Lowell Kelly batted a .215 average overall between the two stops. and has spent all of the 2009 season as a pitcher with the Greenville Drive compiling a 6-1 record with 39 strikeouts and a 1.12 ERA, ranking him 7th overall in earned run average in all of minor league baseball.
