Myrtle Beach Pelicans News Release
WHAT HAPPENED WAS...: The Pelicans were unable to complete their first series sweep of the season and again fell short of their first three-game winning streak of 2009 with a 3-2 loss to the Winston-Salem Dash. Winston-Salem starter Johnnie Lowe was brilliant over eight innings, only allowing two Pelicans runs on six hits. The Dash plated two runs in the top of the sixth, and they held Myrtle Beach scoreless for the final four innings of the game to secure the win. Chad Lundahl put up his first three-hit effort of the season for the Pelicans.
