
Salem Red Sox Will Host Annual "Bark In The Park" Event on Sunday June 6th

The Salem Red Sox, Advanced Class A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, will hold the 2010 "Bark in the Park" at Lewis-Gale Field on Sunday, June 6. The dog washing portion of the event will take place from 3-5pm with a 4:05pm game time. 100% of the proceeds will go to benefit the Roanoke Valley SPCA and the event is sponsored by K92, Q99, Purina, and Petco.
"It's great for dog owners to spend an afternoon with their canine friends out at the park," says Salem Red Sox Director of Ticketing and Special Events, Jeanne Boester. "The opportunity to raise funds for the Roanoke Valley SPCA makes the event even more special."
Tickets are $20 for dogs under 20 pounds and $30 for dogs over 20 pounds and include a dog wash and a ticket to the game. Tickets for additional guests will be $8 and fans that prepay by visiting www.rvspca.org and receive $5 off each package. Owners must provide proof off current rabies vaccination in form of tag or certificate. Tickets are also available by visiting www.salemsox.com or at the Salem Red Sox front office Monday through Friday, 9-5pm.
