McEachern has appeared in four games with Salem, earning a 5.87 ERA over 7.2 innings pitched. The 34th round pick from the 2014 draft was transferred to the Red Sox on May 17 after beginning the season with Greenville. In 11 appearances for the Drive he has a 2-1 record with four saves and a 2.11 ERA.

Jerez was selected by Boston in the second round of the 2011 draft. He began his professional career as an outfielder but was converted to a pitcher after hitting .211 over three seasons and never rising past Short Season-A Lowell. In 14 appearances for Greenville he has tallied a 3-1 record with three saves and a 2.06 ERA.

Vinicio advances past High-A for the first time in his career. In 31 games with Salem, he was batting .268 with 17 runs scored, four doubles and four RBI. He last played on June 1, going 0-for-4 to snap a seven-game hitting streak.

In addition to the roster moves, RHP Chandler Shepherd has changed his number to 23.

The Red Sox roster sits at one below the league maximum with 24 players in addition to four players on the disabled list.
