
Salem Red Sox Make Roster Move

The Salem Red Sox have received RHP Aaron Wilkerson from Low-A Greenville and placed C Jordan Weems on the disabled list. Wilkerson will wear number 20 and is active for tonight's game against the Potomac Nationals.

Wilkerson has appeared in five games, starting once, for the Drive in 2015. He is 0-0 with a 4.76 ERA in 17 innings pitched. Wilkerson was signed by the Red Sox as a non-drafted free agent in 2014 from the Grand Prairie Air Hogs of the independent American Association. Wilkerson will appear on a High-A roster for the first time.
Weems has appeared in ten games for the Red Sox in 2015, batting .242 with three doubles and two RBI. Weems last appeared on 5/1 against Potomac, going 1-for-3 with a run scored.
The Red Sox roster sits at the league maximum of 25 players.
