PLYMOUTH, MI - The Dubuque Fighting Saints (22-8-1-3, 48 pts) erased a deficit, scoring four-straight goals to take down the USA U17s (2-13-1-1, 6 pts) 4-2 on Saturday night.

The Saints completed their weekend-sweep over the U17s by overcoming their lone deficit of the weekend. After allowing the first goal just past the halfway-mark of the first period, the Saints opened the second swiftly. Michael Barron used some muscle to move into the zone and some skill to finish a short breakaway for his 10th of the year, tying the game just 2:03 into the second.

From there, Jayden Jubenvill added the go-ahead goal for the Fighting Saints and Dubuque went into the third period with a lead.

In the third, Noah Powell scored his 15th just 22 seconds into the frame to put Dubuque up by 2. Powell continues to dominate, scoring his 14th goal in the last 18 games. At 1:55 of the third, Chase LaPinta finished a breakaway for his eight of the season and Dubuque had a three-goal lead.

The U17s got one goal late with their net empty, but struggled to solve Kevin Reidler otherwise on Saturday night. Reidler made 26 saves on 28 shots in his second-straight win.

Juraj Pekarcik extended his point-streak to 12 games, while Seamus Powell earned the First Star with a two-assist night.

Dubuque returns home next weekend for a pair of Cowbell Cup games against Cedar Rapids and Des Moines.
