Saints Say Yes to Fun, No to Peanuts as Farming and Pillow Fights Take Center Stage at CHS Field Jul

ST. PAUL, MN(July 17, 2015) - There's nothing quite like the full entertainment experience at CHS Field, and for the Saints' longest homestand of the season they're pulling out all the stops (and the peanuts). So cue the lights, fluff the pillows, "borrow" your dad's Ferrari, and head to CHS Field. Live from St. Paul, it's another Saints homestand!

The Saints open the homestand with a four game series against their division rivals, the Winnipeg Goldeyes. On Sunday, July 19 at 5:05 p.m., the classic ballpark snack is gone but we're not kicking out Snoopy on Peanut Free Night presented by Midwest Ear, Nose, & Throat Specialists. You won't find a peanut in the whole ballpark, but kids will be going nuts around the infield on another Savers Family Sunday where kids can run the bases and get Saints player autographs following the game.

On Monday, July 20 at 7:05 p.m., the Saints tip their caps to the legendary Hall of Famer, and the first African American player in the American League, on Larry Doby Night presented by Central Bank. The Saints and Goldeyes will wear special Negro League uniforms with the Saints donning the garb of the Newark Eagles, the 1946 Negro League championship team that featured Doby, while the Goldeyes wear the uniforms of the Homestead Grays. Doby was first signed by the Cleveland Indians under Hall of Fame owner Bill Veeck, the father of current Saints minority owner Mike Veeck, in 1947. Doby was a seven time all-star who batted .283 over his 13 year major league career while amassing 253 home runs. While never playing in St. Paul, the Saints honor their connection to the baseball legend each year and retired his number, 14, in 2005. Don't forget about the new ballpark fare on a Metropolitan State Munchie Monday where we roll out another food option for one night only.

On Tuesday, July 21 starting at 7:05 p.m., grab a seat and become part of the studio audience because, "Live from St. Paul, It's Tuesday Night!" Since in a few years you'll be living in a van down by the river (and won't amount to jack squat!), you might as well hunker down for a night of hijinks as the Saints celebrate the 40th Anniversary of SNL. The Spartan cheerleaders will be here to cheer on the Saints and don't miss a live performance from Har Mar Superstar. If you think you and your friends are a few, "wild and crazy guys" (or gals), then you'll love Mississippi Market Trivia Tuesday featuring Trivia Mafia. Also on Tuesday, the Saints need your help to set the world record for the world's largest pillow fight at the end of the second inning. Come empty handed, pillows will be provided courtesy of My Pillow as we try to break the previous record of 4,201 participants set at a Super 8 Motel in Brookings, South Dakota in 2014. Special guest Joe Piscopo will sing the National Anthem. Will he provide us all with a treat and do it as Frank Sinatra?

Did you hear what's next in the homestand? I heard from my best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend who heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who said the Saints are playing a day game. We promise we won't tell Ed Rooney you're skipping school; it's "Save Ferris" Day on Wednesday, July 22 at 1:05 p.m. Life moves fast, so be sure to stop by early and take a look at the craziest tailgate party of the year on Walser Wednesday.

The Lincoln Saltdogs make their first visit of the year to CHS Field on Thursday, July 23 at 7:05 p.m. We take the favorite March holiday as everyone becomes Irish on St. Patrick's Day in July presented by DR Horton. Grab a green beer and watch Saints players like Vinny O'DiFazio, Ian McGac, and Dustin McCrenshaw sport special white jerseys with green lettering to honor the Irish heritage they never knew they had. Enjoy $1 green beers all night long as part of a Thirsty Thursday.

Following Thursday's Irish festivities, it's another Friday night at CHS Field which means postgame fireworks set to a musical theme on July 24. This season, we've given you timeless television theme songs, jazz that spoke to your soul, and Grateful Dead jams perfect for, um...fireworks. But nothing has drawn the crowds of screaming preteen girls like this Friday Night Fireworks. Get ready for this week's musical theme as Xcel Energy presents Friday Night Fireworks to the music of boy bands!

After Friday night's fireworks spectacular, the Saints aren't ready to say "bye, bye, bye" just yet as they return for day seven of the eight game stint in St. Paul on FFA Night presented by CHS on Saturday July 25 at 7:05 p.m. Every farmer needs a vacation once in a while, so dress in your best Hawaiian shirt and leis. It's time to get tropical on a Treasure Island Saturday presented by Treasure Island Resort and Casino.

On Sunday July 26 at 5:05 p.m., the Saints wrap up their longest homestand of the year with a mini bat giveaway presented by the Minnesota Corn Growers. They considered an ear of corn, but figured a bat made more sense for baseball. Make sure to be one of the first 1,000 fans at the gate and get your hands on one of these little pieces of lumber. Also be sure to join us for round two of a Savers Family Sunday where kids can run the bases and get autographs from their favorite Minnesota corn growers and Saints players. Well, probably from the former if you ask nicely.

Pillow fights, fireworks, St. Patrick's Day in July and more. The Saints return to the biggest stage in minor league baseball as they look to dazzle a new slew of packed houses at CHS Field and continue their torrid play with just over half the season complete. The Saints have posted an incredible winning record to start the year and fans have posted great attendance marks for the first year in the new ballpark. The Saints look to set one more record with a pillow fight for the ages as the curtains rise in St. Paul for the last homestand in July.

Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value. Tickets begin at $5 for berm seating (available on day of game), $6 for bleacher seats, $12 for the drink rail, $14 for outfield reserved, $16 for infield reserved and $18 for home plate reserved. Friday Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks are an additional $2 per ticket. Post-Game Fireworks Supershows (September 6) are an additional $3 per ticket. Tickets purchased on the day of the game are an additional $2 per ticket. Children under the age of 12 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price. Saints Box Office hours on non-game days are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. On game days, the Box Office will open at 9 a.m. Sunday through Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday and will remain open until 15 minutes following each game.
