
Saint John Defeats Moncton 4-1

Moncton Wildcats News Release
The Saint John Sea Dogs defeat the Moncton Wildcats 4-1 tonight in Moncton and now move into first place in the Maritime Division.
The lone Moncton goal came courtesy of Kelly Klima at 8:39 of the first period on the power play to give the Wildcats the early lead. Assists on the goal went to Conor Garland and Austin Kosack.
It wasn't until midway through the second that the Sea Dogs registered their first goal on the power play. After that the visitors went on to score three more in the third, one of which was an empty net to make the final 4-1.
Blade Mann-Dixon was in nets tonight for the Wildcats; turning away 32 shots he was named second star of the night. Saint John outshot Moncton tonight 36-29.
The Cats next home game is this coming Friday, February 5th at 7:00 p.m. vs. the Victoriaville Tigres. Come out on Sunday for the Cabela's Skill Competition in Memramcook at the Aréna Eugene Leblanc to meet the team! The day will start with a public skate at 11:30 a.m. followed by the skills competition at 12:30 p.m.
