Saguaros With League's Best Mark

Springfield Cardinals News Release
Seven former Springfield Cardinals and a total of eight St. Louis farmhands have helped the Peoria Saguaros compile the best record in the eight-team Arizona Fall League.
Entering Monday's action, Manager Pop Warner's Saguaros are 19-9, one game in front of Mesa in the American Division.
Former Springfield position players Tyler Greene (.311, 2 HR, 9 RBIs), Steven Hill (.289, 3 HR, 10 RBIs), Shane Robinson (.263, 2 HR, 17 RBIs, 8 SB) and Brett Wallace (.261, 4 HR, 17 RBIs), along with former Springfield pitchers Justin Fiske (0-1, 3.00 ERA), Brad Furnish (0-0, 10.03 ERA) and Adam Ottavino (2-1, 6.75 ERA) help make up the Peoria roster. Tyler Norrick (1-0, 9.00 ERA), who worked the majority of the 2008 season in Palm Beach, could most likely spend 2009 playing for Springfield.
Other notable names on the Saguaros' roster include Kyle Blanks (.271, 1 HR, 11 RBIs) of the San Antonio Missions, who was just recently named the 2008 Topps Texas League Player of the Year. Former Missouri State pitcher Ross Detwiler (0-0, 5.59) has made seven appearances, all in relief.
The Arizona Fall League's regular season concludes on Thursday, November 20th.
