Peterborough, Ont. - The Saginaw Spirit (30-24-2-1) continue their road trip by visiting the Peterborough Petes (30-23-1-2) Thursday, March 2, at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.

Last Time:
Saginaw lost 3-2 to the Flint Firebirds Sunday, February 26, at the Dort Financial Center. Saginaw's Mitchell Smith netted a goal and an assist while Dean Loukus earned two assists.
Peterborough won 5-2 over the Oshawa Generals Friday, February 24, at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, Ontario. Brennan Othmann scored two goals and an assist for the Petes.
This Season:
This is the second and final meeting between the two teams, with Saginaw taking the first game 4-2 at home on November 13. Roberto Mancini potted a goal and an assist for Saginaw. Tristan Lennox started in net for the Spirit, stopping 16 of 18 shots faced. Jonathan Melee scored a goal and a helper for the Petes, and Michael Simpson let in three goals on 29 shots.
Players to Watch:
Before Sunday's game against Flint, Mitchell Smith was named captain of the Spirit. The Saginaw native has 40 points (8G, 32A) in 57 games this season. Yesterday, Tristan Lennox signed a three-year entry-level contract with the New York Islanders. The goaltender leads the Spirit this season with 15 wins and is tied for the lead in goals against average (GAA) with a 3.28.
Matyas Sapovaliv has the most goals (22) for the Spirit. Dean Loukus leads in assists (35) and shares the lead in points (50) with Michael Misa.Andrew Oke has top goaltending marks, being tied for GAA with Tristan Lennox (3.28). Oke also has the highest save percentage (SV%), posting an .893.
Tucker Robertson's 78 points and 46 assists are the most for any Peterborough skater. Avery Hayes leads the Petes in goals (36) and is second in the OHL for power play goals (18). Goaltender Michael Simpson is second in the OHL for GAA (2.62) and leads the league in SV% (.917). Simpson also leads his team in the same categories.
Saginaw has three (3) players drafted into the National Hockey League (NHL), including Matyas Sapovaliv (Vegas), Tristan Lennox (New York Islanders), and Hunter Haight (Minnesota).
