Saginaw Spirit and Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop Reach Pouring Rights Deal

The Saginaw Spirit and Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop locations in the Great Lakes Bay Region have long enjoyed a prosperous and mutually rewarding working arrangement with one another and another component has now been added to the relationship. The two have entered into a new five year deal to have Tim Hortons' Cafe & Bake Shop products served at the Spirit's home games at the Dow Event Center along with other events staged at the facility. Available Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop products include its Always Fresh premium blend coffee, hot chocolate, and signature Timbits bite sized donuts. Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop has long been noted for relationships around the Ontario Hockey League through various sponsorships including the Timbits Program which sees young hockey players in various markets participating in games during the intermissions of OHL contests.

Saginaw Spirit President Craig Goslin considers the enhanced relationship with Tim Hortons beneficial for all who attend Spirit games. "The Saginaw Spirit is honored to provide for our fans Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop's coffee and Timbits at the Dow Event Center for the next five Spirit seasons. Tim Hortons' products are synonymous with quality and value and having a business relationship with them, so they can serve their products at our games, adds to the positive experience that our fans have come to expect when they come to a Spirit home game at the Dow Event Center."

Area Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop Owner Ken Boomer agrees with Goslin's assessment, and adds the company has "pride" in being a valuable sponsor of the team since the Spirit's inception ten years ago.
