Sarnia, Ont. - The Saginaw Spirit (4-4) face off against the Sarnia Sting (5-2) Sunday, April 16, for Game 2 at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

The Series So Far:
The second round series between the Spirit and the Sting kicked off on April 14 with Sarnia taking Game 1 by a score of 3-0. The majority of the first period consisted of the teams trying to get into a rhythm, but Sarnia struck first after Easton Wainwright got his third of the postseason. Following a scoreless second period, the Sting added to their lead early in the third. Saginaw's best scoring chances came late in the game when they sent Tristan Lennox, who stopped 21 of 23 shots faced, to the bench for an extra attacker. While the Spirit generated offense, it was Sarnia who tallied the final goal; An empty netter from Sasha Pastujov. For the second time this postseason, Sting goaltender Benjamin Gaudreau earned a shutout by logging 26 saves.

Players to Watch:
In his first OHL postseason, Zayne Parekh has adjusted well for Saginaw and is the top scoring rookie defenseman. In eight games, he has six points (4G, 2A) and is tied with teammate Joey Willis for the OHL rookie goal lead. Matyas Sapovaliv is second in the league in goals (7) and points (15). The forward leads his team in the same categories. Dean Loukus' nine assists are fourth in the OHL this postseason and the most for any Saginaw skater. Tristan Lennox has started every game this postseason, putting up a 2.54 goals against average (GAA) and a .906 save percentage (SV%).
Nolan Burke has the most points (10) for Sarnia and is tied with Sasha Pastujov for the lead in goals (4). Toronto Maple Leafs pick Ty Voit's seven assists are the most for any Sting skater. Tied for the postseason lead with two shutouts,
Benjamin Gaudreau holds top goaltending marks for his team with a 2.47 GAA and an .896 SV%.
