Saginaw Falls at Kitchener

Saginaw Spirit News Release
The Saginaw Spirit were defeated by the Kitchener Rangers on
Friday
Night by the score of 4-1. Spirit center Vincent Trocheck scored Saginaw's lone goal in the defeat. The Spirit will resume action
Sunday
afternoon as they travel to Guelph to take on the Storm.
Both teams battled throughout the first period. Saginaw winger Josh Shalla returned to action tonight. However his return would be shorted 14 minutes into the first period by a game misconduct check to the head penalty. Kitchener was able to take the lead with 14 seconds left in the first period on a Radek Faksa goal.
Vincent Trocheck gave the Spirit a boost in the second period with his stylish shorthanded goal that beat Rangers keeper Gibson and tied the game at one apiece with 5 minutes remaining. Trocheck's goal would not be enough to lift Saginaw back as Kitchener's Tobias Rieder would score 3 goals for a hat trick and a 4-1 Kitchener victory.
Goaltender Tadeas Galansky made 34 saves in the net throughout the course of the game. Opposing goalie John Gibson made 26.
