
Sabo Dominates Bellingham in 7-2 Win, Giving the Gems the Series

Klamath Falls OR: Gems starter Nick Sabo (Long Beach State University) earned a victory in his first start, only allowing five hits, two earned runs, and striking out seven, as the Gems made it two straight wins over Bellingham on Monday, winning 7-2 at Kiger Stadium.
Bells starter John Albert (Hawaii Pacific University) retired eleven of the first thirteen Gems batters he faced but the Gems offense came alive, scoring two runs in both the fifth and sixth inning. Three more runs in the eight sealed the deal for the Gems, who scored all their runs on only 6 hits. Albert took the loss for Bellingham, and falls to 0-1 on the season. Dempsey Grover (University of California-Santa Barbara) had two RBI's to pace the Gems offense.
Wednesday June 12th, the Gems host the Walla Walls Sweets at Kiger Stadium, with first pitch at 6:35 pm. The Gems Wednesday promotion: Social media Wednesdays!
