Mississauga, ON - The Majors have dealt rookie forward Kerby Rychel and second round picks in 2015 and 2016 (both picks originally from Windsor) to the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for second round picks in 2013, 2015 and 2016 (picks originally from Mississauga).

Rychel, 16, is from Tecumseh, ON although he was born in Los Angeles, CA. He was originally drafted by the Barrie Colts in the 1st round, 21st overall, in last year's OHL Priority Selection. This season he has 2 goals and 6 assists for 8 points, while accumulating 47 penalty minutes and a +5 rating in 30 games for the Majors.

Kerby has been playing with Team Ontario at the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge since Christmas. In 6 games for Ontario, he was tied for second on the team in scoring with 3 goals and 3 assists for 6 points, including a goal and an assist in the gold medal game. He helped Ontario to an undefeated record and a 5-3 win over the Americans in the gold medal game.
