Rush Pay Tribute to Saskatchewan

SASKATCHEWAN - The Saskatchewan Rush Lacrosse Club are proud to represent the great province of Saskatchewan and to show our appreciation, the Rush are hosting 'Saskatchewan Tribute Night' this Saturday, April 2nd versus the Calgary Roughnecks in another instalment of the 'Battle of the Prairies'.  The Rush clinched a playoff spot last weekend with back-to-back victories over the Toronto Rock and they will be able to clinch a home playoff spot,  with a victory this weekend over Calgary.
The fan-base of the Saskatchewan Rush "Rush Nation" now proudly sits in third place for overall average attendance in the NLL with 10,809 fans per home game; behind only Buffalo and Colorado, two of the largest markets in the National Lacrosse League. The Rush want to encourage fans from all across Saskatchewan to 'Be A Part of History' Saturday night as the team looks towards their first sell-out at SaskTel Centre with 14,941 loud and proud fans cheering them on. There are only a handful of tickets available in the lower bowl for this game, with group seating in the upper bowl now limited.

The highlight of Saskatchewan Tribute Night will be the Pre-Game Banner Raising of Rush Defensive Coach Jimmy Quinlan, who played on the Rush from 2006 until 2013. The Rush will be raising his number 81 to the rafters of SaskTel Centre. His number was previously retired in 2014 as part of a ceremony in Edmonton, AB at Rexall Place. At the time of his retirement, Quinlan was the former Captain of the Edmonton Rush,  All Time Rush leader in games played with 127 regular season games. 100 Goals and 119 Assists for 219 points with the Rush, Quinlan also had 544 loose balls.Â
Other plans for Saskatchewan Tribute Night include special guest appearances by prominent figures from across the province including members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Ricky Forbes Star of CMT's "The Tornado Hunter" and the Saskatchewan Huskies Women's Basketball team, fresh off of their CIS Championship.
