Rapid City Rush News Release

(Rapid City, SD) - Earlier today Rapid City Rush announced the resignation of General Manager Jason Rent. Rent has been the general manager of the Rush since August 2007 when it was first introduced as the newest expansion team in the Central Hockey League.

Rapid City Rush also announced the promotion of Assistant General Manager Tim Hill to General Manager for the Rush.

"The ownership of the Rush is very thankful for Rent's hard work and dedication during the past two years," said Rush Co-Owner Donny Ward. "The success of the Inaugural Season of the Rush is a direct reflection of Jason's efforts and we wish Jason and his family good luck in his future endeavors."

This past season under Rent's direction the Rush averaged over 4100 in attendance per game or 81% sold and successfully sold out 10 of 21 weekend games. Rent's leadership earned the Rush merchandising franchise of the year and received nominations for franchise of the year, and a pair of ticket sales awards at the annual summer conference for the CHL.

"It is with mixed emotions that we leave Rapid City. I have had the opportunity to be part of a great organization and we have made some great friends along the way; but for the past 12 years we have been away from our family. My wife and I have decided that being around family is best for us at this time. There is no doubt in my mind that Tim and the rest of the staff will make this franchise even greater in the years to come," said Rent.

"I've worked alongside Jason for many years and he's served as my mentor, I am saddened by his departure from this organization and truly wish my friend and his family all the best," said Hill. "I am looking forward to my new responsibilities as General Manager, and the future success of the Rapid City Rush organization."

Rapid City Rush will be hosting a press conference Tuesday, June 16 at 2 pm at Boston's Restaurant and Bar. For all the latest news on Rapid City RUSH and the Central Hockey League visit www.RapidCityRush.com.
