Rush Begins To Trim Roster
February 18, 2008 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Chicago Rush News Release
With just two weeks left before the Chicago Rush kicks off its 2008 season against the defending ArenaBowl champion San Jose SaberCats, the team began to trim its training camp roster this afternoon, releasing seven players.
Waived today were kicker Paul Edinger, quarterback Blayne Baggett, wide receiver Dan Sheldon, defensive back Chris Goffer and linemen Antonio Hall, Ellery Moore and Chad Ruffin.
"Paul did an outstanding job in camp," said Rush head coach Mike Hohensee. "If we didn't already have one of the most clutch kickers in the AFL, Paul most-likely would have made our team. He should definitely be kicking somewhere."
Chicago's training camp roster now stands at 30 players. The Rush must be down to the AFL mandated 24-man roster by next Monday, February 25.
