Royals Weekly & Royals Roundtable to Premier at the Classic Cafe

READING, PA - The Reading Royals and the Classic Café, off route 183 in Leesport (next to Classic Harley Davidson), have agreed on a two-year commitment to be the host location for the Royals radio (Royals Weekly) and television (Royals Roundtable) shows. Royals Weekly is entering its fourth season and can be heard live on ESPN radio, 1240AM at 6:00 p.m., while Royals Roundtable tapes immediately following Royals Weekly on selected Mondays during the season. Royals Roundtable airs on Tuesdays on Comcast at 6:00, 7:00, 10:00 and 11:00 p.m.

Royals Weekly, the Royals one-hour call in radio show, enters it's fourth season on ESPN Radio, 1240AM. Fans are encouraged to participate in the show by calling 866-ROY-ALS3 and speak to their favorite Royal or Coach Derek Clancey. The show features comments from coach Derek Clancey, guests from the hockey world, random prizes to be given away (including Royals tickets) and Royals players as guests on the show.

Royals director of broadcasting, John Curtis, is excited about the prospect of the new location, "We are excited to be moving Royals Weekly and Royals Roundtable to the Classic Café in Leesport. Each year in working with our friends at ESPN radio and Comcast, I think we have added new elements to the shows and made it more enjoyable for the fans to interact with the players and also follow their team throughout the season."

Royals Roundtable, the Royals half-hour television show, enters its third season on Comcast. Royals Roundtable tapes live immediately following the Royals Weekly on selected Mondays during the season. The television show is a condensed version of the radio show. In addition, the popular features of 'Inside the Lions Den' and 'Sin Bin Stumpers' return with some slightly new twists.

Classic Café general manager, Tammy Baker, says she is looking forward to welcoming Royals fans to the Café, "The Reading Royals have been a great addition to the Reading area and we're very excited to be working with such a quality organization."

Royals Weekly airs live on Mondays during the season at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN radio, 1240AM the Royals flagship station. Royals Roundtable tapes on selected Mondays at the Classic Café at 7:00 p.m. and airs on Tuesday on Comcast. The following is a list of local Comcast channels in your market: Reading and Hamburg - 21, Lebanon - 15, Pottsville - 7, Elizabethtown - 20 and Mount Penn -2.

The Reading Royals are entering their fourth season in Reading, Pennsylvania after relocating from Columbus, Ohio. The Royals enjoyed their first Kelly Cup playoff appearance last season, claiming the Northern Division Title and were one win away from qualifying for the Kelly Cup Finals.

The Royals and the City of Reading are proud to be hosting the 13th annual ECHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition presented by Coors Light on January 25 and 26.
