Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release

BILOXI, Miss. – Mississippi Sea Wolves general manager and coach Bob Woods announced today the team has re-signed defenseman Kerry Ellis-Toddington (EHL-ihs-TAWD-ihng-tohn).

Ellis-Toddington, 25, was one of only two Mississippi players last season to appear in all 72 regular season games. The 6-foot-1 and 200-pound Ellis-Toddington netted nine goals and 35 points, while registering a +12 to go along with 30 penalty minutes. A native of Regina, Saskatchewan, Ellis-Toddington scored power-play marker in five postseason games.

"I think Mississippi is a great place to play and I'm excited to come back," said Ellis-Toddington. "Last year was one of the best teams that I've been on in a long time. However, this season I would like to be part of a Sea Wolves team that takes it to the next level. Personally, it's a big year for me, going into my third year pro, I know that I have to produce and hopefully I can put up some good numbers."

"Kerry played great for us last year," said Woods. "He's a durable defenseman that plays well at both ends of the ice. With defenseman Jim Baxter going to Europe (Germany), we expect E-T to step up into an even bigger role back on the blueline especially on the power play."

Ellis-Toddington becomes the 16th player to sign for the 2004-05 season with Mississippi. He joins defensemen Mike Jarmuth, Jason Kean, Mike Martone, Milt Mastad and Austin Miller. Forwards inked to deals include Anthony Battaglia, Nicolas Corbeil, Bobby Cunningham, Lucas Drake, Louis Dumont, Jeff Hutchins, Jay Legault, Travis Lisabeth and Tristan Lush, along with goaltender Randy Hevey.

The Sea Wolves begin their pursuit for the 2005 Kelly Cup on October 22 at home against the Louisiana IceGators at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

Season ticket packages are available by calling (228) 275-WOLF or online at msseawolves.com. Starting at just $220, a ticket package includes 36 regular season home games and four playoff contests.
